GHA 17 - 11 Jed Forest

GHA held out for a hard fought win against a stuffy Jed Forest side who fought right to the death. An early try to scrum half Andrew Gillman and two scores to openside Jamie Pinder meant GHA were always in control although never comfortable.

An excellent opening including some ferocious defense led by captain and stand in goal kicker Niall Cassie might have preluded a more clinical performance by the home team however unforced errors led to a fractured overall display. Jed were on top at the set piece and put the GHA scrum under considerable pressure. GHA failed to control the ball and gave away needless penalties allowing Jed to maintain a foothold in the game. A late score from the visitors made for a nervous last 5 minutes but GHA maintained their composure on defense to hold on for the win.
