Gregg Taylor notched a couple of tries inside the first quarter of an hour to set GHA on their way to a 36-27 win against Hillhead/Jordanhill at Braidholm tonight.

Further tries followed from Andrew Gillman, Ben Wright, Gregor Jones, and Jamie Pinder. Jim Noonan converted two, and Jones, a speedy newcomer from Cambuslang, added the goal points to his own try.

GHA led by 36-10 little more than midway through the third of the 20-minute quarters. But the visitors finished the stronger, and GHA edged the try-count by only 6-5.

GHA’s pre-league warm-up programme continues with a visit to Currie on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
