Scottish Deaf play England at Braidholm

The Scottish Deaf Rugby are set to play English Deaf Rugby, the current holders of the Kolkata Cup, at GHA RFC,Braidholm,Glasgow on Saturday 13th March (Kick Off 1pm)

The Scots squad are focused on winning back the Kolkata Cup, not least, to go ahead in the over standings in this fixture. Speaking on behalf of the Scottish Deaf Squad, Captain Hamish Neish (Hawick YM) said,

“This fixture, playing at GHA RFC, the home of the Scottish Deaf Rugby, gives the Scottish Deaf Rugby Team the chance to get our series of International Games off to a great start, with the opportunity to win back the Kolkata Cup from England. It is sure to be a extremely hard match and a lively occasion, the game cannot come soon enough for us ! ”

Scotland V England Glasgow 18th November 2006 drew 25-25 Scotland won the trophy due to scoring more tries
