We are deeply saddened to inform our members of the passing of Brian Mitchell, who passed away peacefully on June 13th at Wishaw General Hospital, aged 83, surrounded by his family.
Brian was a lifetime member of GHA Rugby Club and a well-known face in the Overlee Lounge and around the pitch. Always welcoming to visitors and members alike, Brian was beloved by his fellow regulars, the bar staff, and the players, providing excellent conversation and entertainment to all in his presence.
He will be remembered fondly by us all. We send his sister Moira, along with his friends and family, our thoughts and condolences at this very difficult time.
Brian’s funeral will take place at South Lanarkshire Crematorium on Friday 3rd July at 10am. A live stream link will be made available to those who wish to pay their respects but are unable to travel.
