Welcome to the second of our new ‘Business Scrum’ networking series on Wednesday 11th March @ 6.00pm – in association with Thorntons, with March’s theme focusing on the forthcoming election: Scotland Votes.
Our second Business Scrum will provide a practical, non-partisan look ahead to May’s Scottish Parliament Elections and what they mean for Southside businesses and professionals. The forthcoming Scottish Parliament election takes place on Thursday 7 May 2026, in a year when a record number of current MSPs have announced they will not seek re-election. The Scottish public will be voting to elect 73 local MSPs and 56 regional “list” MSPs. But, what does the election mean for your business?
Come and find out, and join in our ‘fireside chat’ with panellists:
- Dario Ewing: GHA RFC 1XV Captain, Account Director, Cavendish Consultants
- Kayleigh Quinn: Scottish Labour’s MSP Candidate for Eastwood
- Michael Bergson: Owner of Buck’s Bar Group
- Jackson Carlaw: Scottish Conservative MSP for Eastwood
- Kirsten Oswald, SNP MSP Candidate for Eastwood
- Terry Murden, Editor at Daily Business (ex Business Editor at Scotsman & Sunday Times)
- Chris Gardiner: Private Client Partner at Thorntons Law
- Julie Capaldi: Owner, The Orchard Park Hotel and Board Member of Giffnock Village
