GHA will be hoping to be one step closer to being crowned Championship League A winners
as they face Greenock Wanderers at Fort Matilda.
The Braidholm side will be looking to build on their fine 65-14 thrashing of Dumfries a week
ago as the league season begins to reach its climax.
GHA have just four league games to go and have their destiny in their own hands. Four wins
and they will be crowned champions.
However they will face title rivals Falkirk and Cartha Queens Park in those four games both
away from home.
But GHA Head Coach Gordon MacPherson is focusing on one game at a time starting with
Greenock this Saturday.
He said: We played them earlier in the season at home. We were lucky to come away with a
win.
They had us on the ropes. Greenock played quite an expansive type of game and they have a
good forward pack and some good backs.
They wont be easy and they will be a difficult side to break down.
We are coming to the stage of the season where we have most of our squad fit. We have
some good choices and a little bit of depth in the back row positions especially.
Every game we play is a must win. We dont have preference and say this game is going to
be an easier one than that one.
They are all going to be tough games. If we want to win the league it is up to us to win each
game.
We are not looking at Cartha or Falkirk. We are not looking at Whitecraigs.
Greenock is the next game and the next challenge. Ideally we win and get five points and
move on.
