GHA Raises Thousands for West of Scotland Children
GHA Rugby Club’s sold-out Ladies Day on Saturday 28 March in the Braidholm Suite raised an impressive £13,306 for Cash for Kids, contributing to a season total of £38,000 in support of disadvantaged children and young people across the West of Scotland.
GHA Rugby Club is proud to announce the tremendous success of its sold out Ladies Day event, held on Saturday 28 March in the clubs’ function suite, which raised an outstanding £13,306 in support of Cash for Kids. The event welcomed 120 Ladies to GHA for an afternoon of celebration and fundraising, all in aid of a vital cause. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, took part in raffles, games, and a silent auction, rounding off the day was music and entertainment from DJ Chris Taylor.
In addition to the funds raised during the Ladies Day event, further donations were collected from generous supporters and sponsors who attended GHA’s rugby matches which were being played throughout the day, showing the continued community spirit surrounding the club.
This latest fundraising effort brings GHA Rugby Club’s total raised for Cash for Kids this season to an incredible £38,000.

“We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts for Cash for Kids throughout the 2025/26 season. Saturday’s Ladies Day was a monumental success with a fantastic £13,306 raised in support of the fabulous work Cash for Kids undertake.
GHA have raised £38,000 this season in partnership with Cash for Kids – underlining the club’s commitment to becoming Scotland’s leading community club, from the minis to the Premiership. Our partnership with Cash for Kids has been invaluable, and we are grateful for all the support they have shown us.
A special thank you goes to Cash for Kids’ Sharon Munro and her colleagues for their guidance, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment to helping us make a real difference in our community. Sincere thanks are also due to Lyndsay Faulds, Craig Faulds, and Kate Finlay for all their hard work organising the events. Finally, thank you to all players, sponsors, families, supporters, and event attendees who took part, donated, or helped spread the word. Every contribution, big or small, has helped us raise essential funds for a charity that makes a meaningful impact to the lives of children who need it most. Together, we’ve shown the power of community, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved this season.”

“This is the second time GHA has hosted a lunch in aid of Cash for Kids Glasgow and the West and we are overwhelmed by the generosity shown at the ladies lunch, the results are life changing. Combining the funds from Saturday’s ladies’ lunch with our previous event in October means we can provide significant support to local disadvantaged children who need it most.
As a member of the Cash for Kids Board of Trustees, I see firsthand the challenges faced by the children and families we support, and this donation is a lifeline that allows us to continue our essential work.
