GHA will hope to end a run of three defeats in a row as they face Peebles at Braidholm.

The Southsiders were defeated 34-28 against Stewart’s Melville last weekend but did manage to pick up two bonus points.

Meanwhile Peebles will also be looking to end a run of three defeats in a row after falling 18-9 to Watsonians last Saturday.

The last time both sides met Peebles edged a close contest winning 18-14.

GHA Captain Andy Henderson is expecting another close contest this time around.

He said: “We played pretty well last time we played Peebles and we were disappointed not to win the game. The match was very close and competitive.

“We are very keen to get another win. There has been improvement in the last few weeks in our performances but ultimately we need to get more wins.”

GHA will be hoping to start games better after falling 22-0 down at half time against Stewart’s Melville last Saturday before coming back into the game in the second half.

Captain Andy Henderson admits they need to start games better if they are to win more games.

He said: “We were particular bad in the first half last week. In other games we have been slow out of the blocks almost like we were waiting to see what the other team can do before we start to play.

“I think that has to be our focus try to stamp our authority on the game.”

Peebles lie six points ahead of GHA  place  in 7th place in the National League .. However GHA Captain Andy Henderson believes the team aren’t just aiming for 7th the league but are hoping to climb the table further.

He said: “We are now into the second half of the season and have played all the other teams.
“There are definitely games in the second half of the season that we can go into and win.

“If we pick up a few more wins and start to climb the table, get a bit of momentum then
hopefully we can finish further up the standings.”
