GHA will look to make it two wins in a row as they face Watsonians at New Myreside on
Saturday.

The Southsiders will look to pick up where they left off last week after a fantastic second half
display helped them defeat Kelso 57-16 to give them their first home win of the season.

The Braidholm side outscored Kelso 45-3 in the second half which helped them to only their
second win of the season.

This week GHA will face a tough test against promotion favourites Watsonians who will be
looking to get back to winning ways following back to back defeats.

GHA Head Coach Gordon MacPherson believes Watsonians will show his side more respect
following GHA’s impressive win last week.

He said: “They will have seen the result against Kelso and will probably be a bit more
cautious.

“It will be a tough game and we will have to go there with the same attitude, a hardnosed
approach, real good work ethic and look to improve on Saturday’s performance.

“Boroughmuir and Watsonians are the top two teams so it will be a tough one. For us it is a
learning curve.

“We will go there with a bit of added confidence and obviously a lot of caution because of
the quality of players they have.

“But they won’t be taking us lightly. If we work hard you never know we might be able to get
a result there.”

Last Saturday’s result and performance will have given GHA a massive boost ahead of this
week’s clash against Watsonians.

Also the return of Niall Cassie from injury has added to the team as he scored a hat-trick
against Kelso on his home first XV return.

GHA Head Coach Gordon MacPherson is glad to have him back in the squad.

He said: “Niall has really added to our team. He is really gritty, gives 100 per cent, and is a
good communicator.

“That’s really all we ask for of the guys is to give 100 per cent and show that you can
perform for 80 minutes.

“I said let’s look past the result but give a good performance and see where we finish. We got
to half time and thought we were the better team and said lets go on and win this game.”
