In the Glasgow derby, GHA were always behind as the Hillhead/Jordanhill pack took control, but a late fightback had the home fans worried as the score went from 30-15 to 30-27.
Hills scored three forwards tries through Cammy Ker who bagged two, and Campbell Rae, whilst full-back David Frame touched down a kick through for his try. Mike McCombe added two conversions and two penalties.
That GHA fightback earned two bonus points – for four tries and a close finish. Rory Watson, Willie Falconer, Andy Williamson and Alan Bulloch touched down, whilst Martin Dunn kicked seven points.
