South Side Club Raises Considerable Funds for Cash for Kids Charity
GHA RFC has proudly announced the success of its recent fundraising event held on Saturday 18 October 2025, in support of Cash for Kids. The occasion exceeded all expectations, raising £25,000 to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children across Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
The event saw 160 guests gather for a 3-course lunch in a beautifully decorated marquee in the club’s Braidholm grounds, followed by an after-party in the clubhouse.
Guests were treated to a lively afternoon of entertainment, hosted by the ever-popular Edward Reid, with performances by Nicholas McDonald and Groove Culture, fostering an atmosphere of generosity throughout the day.

GHA’s Club President Gordon Adams said
“Saturday’s event was a tremendous success (with £25,000 raised), and it was a privilege for GHA to host an event with Cash for Kids. I’d like to thank the organising committee for their hard work in making Saturday the success it was, our sponsors for the prizes they kindly donated, and for the generosity displayed by all in attendance.
GHA’s ambition is to be Scotland’s leading community club; from the minis to the Premiership. GHA is much more than a rugby club, we’re a family friendly club at the heart of Glasgow’s Southside who run several community events like the Cash for Kids event. The partnership has allowed us to support a fantastic cause while introducing a new audience to the GHA community which aligns with the club’s strategic plan. GHA look forward to furthering Cash for Kid’s work over the coming months whether through fundraising at home games or our Ladies Day in early 2026.”

“We were delighted to be partnered with GHA Rugby Club for their Charity Lunch, it was a fun afternoon with fabulous entertainment and fundraising games, and the generosity of the guests was incredible, raising £25,000 for disadvantaged children here in Glasgow! These funds will allow Cash for Kids to support 4,166 children to access hot meals, nutritional snacks, and activities during the school holidays.” – Cash for Kids
