Introducing 3G500: Building the Future of Rugby at Braidholm

“Every generation of GHA members has inherited something special. Now it’s our turn.”

The GHA Charity (Scottish Charity Number SC046458) in partnership with GHA RFC is launching 3G500 — an ambitious community campaign to raise £500,000 towards a new all-weather 3G pitch and future facility improvements at Braidholm. And we need your help.

The facilities we enjoy today weren’t created overnight. They exist because previous generations gave their time, raised funds, volunteered and invested in the future of the club they loved. And we want to continue that legacy.

Over the coming years, GHA has an exciting opportunity to continue developing Braidholm and ensure it remains one of Scotland’s leading rugby facilities.

That’s where 3G500 comes in! A 2-year campaign with cross-club fundraising for everyone to take part in with a variety of challenges, events and more. Alongside grants, sponsorship, donations and other funding opportunities, 3G500 will help secure the next chapter of GHA’s development

But it is about more than fundraising. It’s about bringing together players, parents, coaches, former members, sponsors and supporters to create a lasting legacy for future generations.

Whether you can organise events, promote the campaign, secure sponsorship, volunteer your time or take on a fundraising challenge, we’d love to have you on the team.

What’s Planned?

Over the next two years we’ll be delivering a calendar of fundraising events and challenges, including:

Walk to Murrayfield
The GHA Rugby Games
Team GHA Kiltwalk
3G500 Summer Ball
GHA Golf Day
Corporate Touch Rugby Festival

Alongside these flagship events, there will be year-round opportunities including sponsored challenges, Own a Piece of the Future, Buy a Brick, employer matched funding and many more ways for people to get involved.

We Need Your Help

A campaign of this scale cannot be delivered by a small group of volunteers.

We are now looking to build the 3G500 Team.

We’re looking for people with all kinds of skills and experience, including:

Event organisation
Fundraising
Marketing and communications
Sponsorship and business development
Project management
Social media
Design and photography
Community engagement
Administration
Or simply a willingness to get involved

Whether you can give a few hours each month or take on a larger role, we’d love to hear from you.
