Looking for a new team? GHA RFC is the largest amateur club in Glasgow, offering players the chance to join our senior squads and compete in the National League 1 with our 1XV and top-tier Inter-City Reserve League with our 2XV.
With the fixtures locked in for 24/25, pre-season is just around the corner, starting on Monday 1st July.
Training will take place at our home ground, Braidholm, with access to 2 grass and a FIFA and WOrld Rugby classified 3G artificial pitch along with excellent gym facilities.
Training dates are as follows:
w/b 1st July – Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 7-8.30pm
w/b 29th July – Tuesday/Thursday 7-8.30pm
The senior league season begins on Saturday 31st August, running until February 2025 and both the 1XV and 2XV are looking to build on their 23/24 seasons and finish on top. Last season the 1XV finished 2nd in National League 1 remaining unbeaten in the second half of the season. Our 2XV were National Reserve League Champions in 22/23, and are looking to return to form in the restructured Inter City Reserve League in 24/25.
GHA is also a feeder team to the Inter District Championship team Glasgow & the West, giving players the chance to represent their club and district during a round-robin tournament against Edinburgh District, Caledonia Reds and The South in May 2025. GHA has had a number of players capped in the Glasgow & West squad over the last two seasons since the reinstatement of the Championship, with Glasgow & the West finishing a close second in the tournament in 2024.
