The GHA Board – Expressions of Interest to join now invited

GHA is in a strong position. We have the largest minis section in Scotland. Our 1XV have secured their place in the Scottish Premiership for successive seasons for the first time in the club’s history, and we are in a strong financial position with diverse revenue streams. We now have a real opportunity to build on this momentum and shape the next phase of the club’s development. With this, we are developing additional professional structure to our organisation. 

GHA has a clear ambition: to be Scotland’s leading community rugby club – from minis to the premiership.

With our upcoming AGM on 13th May 2026, we are inviting expressions of interest from qualified and committed individuals who would like to be part of, helping shape the future of GHA. Whether you are a long-standing member, part of the wider GHA community, or new to the Club, we would love to hear from you! Non-members are very welcome to express interest. However you will need to become a member of the club to stand for a board position ahead of the AGM when the formal election process will happen.

This process is designed to be open, inclusive and collaborative, helping us build the strongest possible cohort of candidates ahead of the formal nomination and election process. Expressions of interest are open now and will remain open until one week before the AGM on 13th May. Further details on the formal nominations process will be shared in due course. 

The Board roles that will be elected at the AGM are:

• President
• Managing Director
• Finance Director
• Club Secretary 
• Commercial Director
• Facilities Director 
• Director of Rugby Operations 
• Marketing and Communications Director 
• Community Director 
• Non-Executive Directors

How this works

This is an expression of interest stage only.

• You can select one or more roles you would be willing to consider
• You can update or withdraw your interest at any time
• This is not a formal application and you are not committing to anything
• Once you submit your expression of interest you will be able to see who else has expressed interest so that you can connect and have informal conversations with others
• The intention is not to pre-form a Board, but to encourage discussion and collaboration, help people understand where they may best contribute and support the development of a strong and balanced group of candidates
• Please note that by submitting an expression of interest you are agreeing to us sharing your name and contact email with others who have also submitted an expression of interest for the sole purpose of connection and informal conversation
