Welsh Misses Out on Award

Jon Welsh wasn’t in luck at the Magners League awards ceremony in Cardiff on Monday evening. The former GHA prop had been short-listed for the Young Player of the Year award, but that honour went east, being won by Edinburgh wing Tim Visser, the Dutchman who played for English Schools.
