With a host of first team forwards unavailable this weekend, GHA coach Gordon MacPherson has named an inexperienced foward pack for Saturday’s first preseason outing away to Falkirk. These include teenage front rows Michael Fox, Chris Landsburgh and Fraser Stewart. In the back row, teenagers Jamie Auld and Tom Ritchie are to start at 8 and 7 respectively. Ryan Jenkins will add some much needed experience in the second row alongside new recruit David Mackie. Mark Anderson who at 21 is one of the old men of the team, starts at 6.

The backline is less affected by absences, club captain Niall Cassie is out until December following a knee operation and Ruairi O’Keefe and Murray Houston are on holiday. Andrew Gilman will start at 9 with new recruit Craig Sorbie in the stand off berth. Andrew Henderson and Dominic Dunn are in the centres whilst the back 3 will be Brandon Wamberg and Rangi Jericevich on the wings, with Ross McClymont at Full back.

GHA will also be travelling with 10 replacements as the squad shapes up for the first game on August 27th at home to Dumfries Saints.

Kick Off on Saturday is 2pm at Falkirk RFC
