GHA will get their new season campaign underway against Perthshire in the first round of the BT Scottish Cup at Braidholm tomorrow (KO 3pm).

The GHA squad has a number of new faces this season including a former Perthshire boy, Ross Angus, who is set to start at openside flanker for the home team. In the second row GHA include three new recruits in giant second row Chris McGeough as well as props Michael Robertson and Jamie Leslie. Donald Malcolm, Grant MacDonald and Adam Barnett are all back in the fold up front after missing much of last season through injury.

In the backs, player coach Peter Jericevich starts at 9 and GHA Academy product Andrew Goudie is at 10.  Former skipper Niall Cassie makes a welcome return to the GHA midfield after an injury lay off.

Scotland U18 Hooker Lewis Anderson, who has joined us from Ayr/Marr, starts from the bench. As does returning GHA flanker Andrew Boag after a stint in France.

Full Back Ruairi O’Keefe is to undergo a late fitness test and will be replaced in the starting XV by Andrew Gillman should he fail to pull through.

Andrew Henderson will once again skipper the team this season.
