GHA are still sweating over their Premiership survival after being pipped by fallen champions Boroughmuir 18-15 at Braidholm. The Glasgow side need a point from their last match at Hawick to complete the salvage job.
After an mistake-ridden opening session it took 30 minutes for the scoreboard to click into action. Steve Ruddick broke the deadlock for the capital men with an opportunist try before James Noonan clawed back three points for GHA with a penalty. Muir surged back into attack to claim a second touchdown via Angus Martyn and again Noonan repaired some of the damage with a three-point kick. He slotted two more penalties to set up a tense finale, but a Dougie Brown try and a Graeme Kiddie penalty kept the Meggetland men in front.
