GHA heaped more misery on Kelso at Braidholm with a five-try demolition of the Tweedsiders.
The impressive John Fleming grabbed two tries for Adam Roxburgh’s men and Kevin Utterson kicked two penalties, but this was nowhere near good enough to topple GHA.
Rory Watson ran in three of the homesters’ five tries. Graeme Fisher, who was called into the starting team less than five minutes before kick-off, and Alan Bulloch scored the other two. Kelso did, however, put up a decent fight and John Fleming’s second half try, converted by Mark Halliday, cut GHA’s lead to 25-13.
But the home side certainly deserved their win and with Martin Dunn successfully booting seven from nine attempts on goal, GHA never looked in danger of succumbing to a shock home defeat.
