GHA’s win at Braidholm over Gala hoists them into second spot in Premiership Two behind Stirling County, and it was not until the closing stages when Gala made a surge that the home side looked in any way uncomfortable.
GHA led 15-3 at the break with tries from Jon Welsh and Alan Bulloch with James Noonan slotting a conversion and a penalty with Gala only offering a penalty from Andy McLean.
Two converted second half tries from Niall Cassie and Welsh again clinch the bonus for GHA. Noonan converted both, and although Gala came more into the game in the second spell, they left without even a bonus point to their name.
Sean Law and Ross Livingstone crossed for the Netherdale men, McLean added both conversions and a further penalty, but at 29-20, GHA closed the game down and the door on any hopes of a Gala comeback.
