Jed knocked GHA off the top of Premiership Two with a four-try blitz at Riverside Park.

The Royal Blues were in outstanding form and had already recorded 27 points before the Braidholm outfit’s first try. Jason Gill scored twice from close-range lineouts, with Nicky Bates and Gary McGarva who also booted two penalties and four conversions, adding a try each.

Clark Laidlaw set the ball rolling with a drop goal after four minutes when GHA’s Gavin Walsh was sin-binned, the Border side were always going to reign supreme,. Leading 13-0 at the interval, Jed came out all guns blazing in the second period and after 58 minutes had more than doubled their tally.

Jason Gill’s second try secured a bonus point for his side on a day the home team never looked in any danger of succumbing to defeat like they did the previous weekend against Dundee HSFP.

Nicky Barrett and Alan Bulloch crossed for the Glasgow men, with Barrett and Paul Johnston notching a conversion apiece.
