A number of players carrying injuries have failed to recover in time for Saturday’s season opener against Dalziel meaning Gordon MacPherson will give debuts to several of GHA’s rising stars. Robbie Glen (knee), Ryan Jenkins (ankle), Euan Smith (hand) and Matt Kidd (holiday) are all out.
The teenage brigade includes John Brogan, James Malcolm, Scott Gallacher and Declan Larkin (all 18). Also returning to the fray is long term absentee through injury Paul Harkins. After undergoing a shoulder operation last summer, Paul has forced his way back into the squad for Saturday’s encounter. Niall Cassie reverts to the back row where he will look to make an impact at openside flanker.
