GHA will head to the Borders this weekend for what promises to be another thrilling game against league toppers Selkirk.
Having secured the top spot back in October with a 26-15 win at Braidholm, Selkirk remain unbeaten in the league to date.
However, a few weeks later GHA proved themselves capable of keeping up the pace in a 20-17 second round cup tie victory that stands as the only blemish on the Borders sides record this season.
With both teams heading into their third fixture with a win on their side, GHA will be looking to repeat their cup game success in their continued pursuit of a play-off position.
Head Coach Craig Sorbie admits Selkirks current standing may suggest they are the toughest team in the league but he is confident that the Braidholm side have put in the hard work and will be going there for the win:
It is a great opportunity for the team to go down and play Selkirk. They are obviously still unbeaten in the league this year so we want to go down there and put on the best performance that we can against them.
The boys are fit and ready to go. We were disappointed that the game didnt go ahead last weekend because of the weather, but we have trained well and have had a good weekend of strength and conditioning work.
Selkirk also havent played in a few weeks now because of the weather so theyll be looking to go into the game head on but we are heading down there full of confidence.
We know what we need to do in order to combat their strengths and as long as we keep hold of the ball and stick to our game plan it should prove to be a great game.
