GHA travel to Burnbrae to play West of Scotland this Saturday in what will be their first game of 2013 after last Saturday’s trip to Greenock fell foul of the weather.
James Malcolm, fresh from representing Scotland U20 against Ayr on Tuesday night starts at Hooker. GHA include three teenagers in their starting lines up – James (18) along side number 8 Grant MacDonald (18) and John Brogan (19), providing a youthful backbone to Saturday’s side.
Northern Irishman James Edgar, who won represenative honours with Ulster Schools, starts on the bench and is due to win his first cap for GHA this weekend after some strong showings in the 2nds.
GHA skipper Andrew Henderson said:
We had a tough game against the West of Scotland earlier in the season.
We know we will have to be close to our best this weekend.
I think they have had a few injuries but they got a win last week and they will have taken
some confidence from that.
Again it is a really important game and is one we are looking forward to.
