GHA will host Kelso at Braidholm this Saturday in the first of three home games leading into the final stretch of the season.
Following on from a frustrating game at Biggar at the weekend, a 14-7 win was not enough to stop GHA from slipping into third place in the league behind promotion spot rivals Stewarts Meliville.
Head Coach Craig Sorbie acknowledges that they have a tough few weeks ahead of them and whilst a bonus point would certainly help their campaign for promotion, the target first and foremost is the win:
With the last few games of the season now upon us we know what we have to do to make sure we are in the right position in the league come the end of the season. If the opportunity to get that bonus point arises, then of course we will do what we can to secure that too.
We didnt play anywhere near the level that we are capable of last weekend and that was frustrating, there are things that need to be fixed and we know how to do that. We have a big week of training ahead of us.
GHA may have taken a 28-3 victory from their last meeting at Kelso back in October but he admits that the BT Cup Quarter Finalists are not a side to be underestimated and could prove to be challenging for the Braidholm side this weekend:
The boys will know that going into the game. Well be looking to stick to our patterns and plays and if we do, there is no reason why we cant come out on top.
Tomorrow’s game is a 130pm Kick Off. Match Entry is Free, with spectators instead asked to make a donation to our mini rugby fundraiser.
