Newly promoted GHA battled bravely to secure a share of the spoils in a dour 16-16 draw with Ayr at Braidholm.
Graham Harkness pounced for the sole home try, while former Ayr star James Noonan slotted the remainder of their points. Ayr breached the GHA defence twice through Steve Fenwick and Glenn Tippett, with Grant Anderson banging over two penalties.
